If you've seen "The Jetson's" cartoon, initially aired in the 1960s, you will remember the spacetastic gadgets that make them the family of the future, even today.
This 3D model, a flying video phone in the Jetson's home, was an afternoon project. It took approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete all aspects of the final image. (i.e. 3D modeling, shader creation, look dev, lighting, rendering)
Like all of my 3D assets, it too was built using a manageable amount geometry with a topology that makes sense and flows with the form.
Its low-poly frame makes the prop light, versatile, and ready for animation. It was 3D modeled in Maya and rendered with RenderMan 22.
